The Shaheen School for Social Research (SSSR) is an institution in the Qasimabad City. It generates progressive and historically grounded education in the social and philosophy. With more than 25 full-time faculty members, its school and programs offer College degrees and courses to students from 1998. Interdisciplinary centre and institute housed at The Shaheen School for Social Research provide further opportunities for deep inquiry and innovative collaborations, particularly at the intersection of social theory, policy, and design.
The Shaheen School for Social Research believes that research and pedagogy should advance economic justice, promote an understanding of change, and train the next generation to influence public debate. Its commitment to progressive values, academic freedom and critical theory in the tradition at the heart of The Shaheen School's history.
While maintaining long-standing strengths in continental philosophy, psychology, political economy, ethnography, historical studies, and the analysis of social movements, The Shaheen School for Social Research continues to innovate in fields like migration and mobility, capitalism studies and creative publishing and critical journalism, and design and social thought, demonstrating its desire to remain engaged in the most important issues and debates of our time.

The Shaheen School was founded in 1998 by a group of progressive intellectuals looking for a new, more relevant model of education. Our history and guiding principles-inspired by progressive Pakistan thought, World critical theory and the legacy of the School-remain as critical today than ever before.

We are proud of our students’ achievements and supportive of their pursuits. We recognize the value of parental involvement in the education and well-being of our students. Please use our website as one way for you to remain involved in your child’s learning and development. Under the “News & Events” tab, you will be able to access “The Shaheen School,” our weekly parent newsletter. Also, under this tab, you will find our school calendar, outlining important dates and events. Use the information to help you plan to attend a game, a concert, or another event where your children are involved. I guarantee that the impact of your attendance will be far-reaching. It will strengthen the school-home partnership and it will reinforce our collective goal of supporting our students.
